I dont hate him, hes technically a hometown guy for me so i should be rooting for him. But i just cant root for a guy who fights nothing but bums then has the audacity to say **** like "oh abner mares would be so easy for me and rigondeaux wouldnt get past my jab". Gtfo with that ****.

Since nobody wants to say it I will , it's because he's black. All jokes aside how many black American fighters are loved on this forum. They hate Floyd, Ward, Bernard , Broner(understandable),GRJ, Alexander , Lamont and many more. Hell people say Thurman is overrated. It's funny because Andrade just tore up Rose , dominated Vanes and instead of giving props I'm seeing comments of overrated ,would get crushed by little cotto , pillow fist trout, had trouble w/Vanes Lara , is this a coincidence he's receiving hate. I'm sure the Charlos don't have much love here too.

I like both fighters and I didn't know who to pick, I watched training videos and fights of both and in my opinion, I think Loma times russell and catches him in an exchange, maybe ends it early, russell throws those fast combos but his head stands up straight and has gotten sloppy against TBA during exchanges but TBA wasn't good enough to make him pay, that height advantage and Russell's tender hands I think also give Loma a small advantage but … we won't kno til Saturday

Darnell Boone was an unknown with only 10 fights (2 of them being losses) when Ward fought him. No better really than most of the guys on Russell's resume.

It's only in hindsight that we know how Boone went on to be a tough journeyman.
