Name an opponent who tried to win in last four years ? Once they taste the steelhammer,they damage limitation exercise.Sam Peter had a limited interest before succumbing to the same survival plan as every opponent to try and fail since Wlad's last loss.

These new contenders at least have te strength and size to concern Wladimr,and aren't a bunch of short asses.maybe that will give you something to cling too,but I only forsee more butthurt for yourself.

Pulev will give Wlad a difficult, grueling fight.

He's a natural-born fighter with a strong chin, he's quite crafty and a good inside fighter. Kubrat has excellent stamina, and starts slow but gets stronger and into a better rhythm as a fight progresses. He doesn't have one-punch KO power, but he punches hard enough to gradually break down his opponents.

Wlad will likely win, but he'll take some punishment along the way.

Pulev is his best opponent in a while and Wlad will do well not to underestimate him. It will be an interesting match the way it will play out.

I thought the mystery of why Wladimir's opponents "don't even try" was solved by this fight:



He's hitting guys with that left hand all night. It doesn't look like he's even putting that much energy into it and it knocked out chambers cold for several minutes.

You really think so? I think this one could be very tactical, but I don't see Pulev hurting Wladimir whatsoever. I see Wlad stopping Pulev late after a chess match of a fight.

You´re probably right and I´m really looking forward to it. The sad part is most "boxing fans" don´t recognize world class HW boxing when they see it and will probably call it a bore fest. I guess it should be face-first-no-defense-all-out-slugfest to entertain casual fans.. Was it Foreman who said "boxing is like jazz: the better it is the less people appreciate it"?

Very much agreed. Wlad´s jab may not be the fastest ever but it´s accurate, rangy, hard to see (he doesn´t load up), well timed and heavy as hell and he can turn it into a deceiving hook. I´m sure it kind of takes the fun out of fighting him.. to beat Wlad you´d have to slip the jab but stay out of his clinch. That leaves very little time to hurt him.
