  • Klitschko on Pulev: '"The Cobra" is a challenge for me!'

Just posted the following on his FB page.

It has been in the news already and is now official!
I will be fighting IBF mandatory Kubrat Pulev on September 6th in the o2 World Hamburg, Germany. “The Cobra” is a challenge for me with his record of 20 wins (11 by KO) and no losses. Last year he clearly won his fight against my former opponent Tony Thompson on points. So there is definitely no reason to underestimate him. I am looking forward to this challenge and can’t wait to start my training camp to prepare for the next step of my mission

Hopefully he accepts the challenge because there isnt many options out there for him.

He accepted. The fight is on.

      Wlad by KO mid rounds.

They both fight off the jab. Wlad's jab is much better.
Wlad is extremely heavy handed and has knocked guys out cold with every punch he has. Kubrat doesn't hit that hard for a guy his size.
Pulev tends to become complacent in the mid-late rounds, which is usually when Wladimir tries to up the ante.

I like Pulev, it's just a bad style matchup for him. Nobody outboxes Wladimir and Pulev isn't the type to turn a fight into a brawl like Sanders. For those of you who have Pulev winning as I've seen posted before, how? I'm curious how you think he pulls it off.

Wlad is head and shoulders above any HW at the moment, there is pretty much no challengers until he retires.

OK fight I guess. Definitely a lot better than the crap comp Wlad has been facing over the last couple of years , except for Povetkin who he fought scared.

I would hope that Wlad would come out throwing bombs, but that's not going to happen so won't really get excited for this one.

Froch is such a warrior, that he's going up to heavy to fight Wlad. OMG!

Oh, wait...decent fight. I don't give Pulev much chance though.

Steelhammer flushes Poolev down the toilet with a flush left hook.

              Easy work.

I think it's the right clinch that will do the job.

Decent fight for the HW division, i don't think Wlad will be able to bully Pulev as much as he does with his usual kind of opponents.

                  There's only one Cobra though...

Decent warm up fight with a durable big guy, until Wladimir faces the winner from Stiverne/Perez v Jennings eventual winner, frankly I don't give either guys a chance, but it'll be fun watching Wladimir march on towards braking record after record.

Pulev will come to win unlike every other guy in the last 4 years, this won't be no damage limitation exercise,if he is dropped for the first time in his career or kod,he will have done so going out on his shield.

Looking forward to seeing Kubrat after the Klitschko fight,I expect he will be avoided like Manuel Charr and amd Sascha Povetkin, for good reson of course.it won't be a case of Fury and Chisora with guys queuing up to face them, but instead the p.ussies rematch each other in a fight from three years ago,in which was possibly uglier than Povetkin vs Wladimir, well in fact was, zero knockdowns, and no fighting in the championship rounds as both were to busy eyeing up boxing fans steak pies in the crowd.
