Manny fought Morales for the first time nine years ago.
How long did you guys think this was all going to last?
It's Arums job to make Manny the most money he can before he retires. After losing two fights back-to-back, Arum isn't going to put Manny in a position to lose again.
Manny was broke a few years ago. I'm not being condescending or having a laugh or accusing Manny of ducking anyone, but his prime is in the rear-view. At this point in his career the goal is to fight the easiest fights for the most money and as quickly as possible. Arum's cashing in on Mannys name and status (like he has been) based on all the great wars Pac gave us over the years to get the fans to fork over the cash.
It's just business and life, guys. Outside of another Marquez fight, they're going to be looking for Algeri type opponents as Manny works his way towards retirement. Dont be bitter, don't talk ****, just accept the reality; Manny isn't a young guy anymore and theyre not going to match him up like one, either.

Oscar lost and still sold ppv.
Aura of invincibility is gone from PAC anyway after Marquez ko.
Hardcore Fans don't care about losing and casuals only care if you are unbeaten but you really think they know a guys record?
I understand risk and reward.
Ideal situation is match the cash cow in a good style match up or a hypejob coming off a victory.

i get what u're saying but i disagree. how is picking easy opponents like algeri will make pac any money, if anything they will lose money on it. if they were cashing him out they would start putting him in with oppoenents that will draw. it doesnt matter if pac loses his name is big enough to still be able to draw, they can still throw him in with a creditble opponent and the fight will do good. like u said arum is cashing out on manny's name, i just dont understand ur concept of picking easy fights with names like algeri to make pac the best money possible at the moment before he retired.
