bute is the most overrated fighter of the last 10 years. it's not my fault you guys overrated the hell out of him.

george groves. he almost knocked froch out in the first fight. froch was much more hurt than groves was when he was stopped. let's also not forget that it's george groves we are talking about.

dirrell beat the hell out of froch, let's be realistic. he landed the more effective punches. he hurt him. he behaved like a girl, but he was tattooing froch.

pascal is an OK win, but he's nobody to write home about.

green was an actual SS replacement. bika was never in the tournament.

froch lost to the two best fighters he faced. ward freaking destroyed him, and he lost a close fight to kessler. he beat kessler in the rematch, but that was when he was seriously faded.
Froch has the guts to fight outside his own country tho. Those are his only 2 loses. I personally had him winning over Kessler 1 and Ward. And we must have different definitions of destroying. You don't destroy someone by clinching and headbutts

I swear....SOG is the best/most complete fighter in the world not named Floyd Mayweather Jr imo...it would be a travesty to see such a talent go out like that....the thing is this, atm he could lock down his legacy by beating Triple G, Chavez Jr., Pascal, Frankenstein and anybody else who THINKS he's not the best!!...Ward would son ALL of them imo....shame to hear him talk like that with so much out there for him...smh

I take this another way. I think this is Ward saying he would rather retire than fight for Goossen again. He seems to very much want away from him.

When you think about it, Goossen made some good strategic moves with him a while ago and got him good fights, but did little in actually "Promoting" him. Some of it is Ward's fault yes as he is not an attention seeker and is very stubborn, but I just know if he was with a bigger promotional house, they would have done more for him. Half of this sport is salesmanship and hype. Just look what Top Rank was able to do with Bradley.

How did you have Froch winning the fight over Ward? Under which criteria-clean punching, effective aggression or ring generalship?

That's how a lot of religious people are. They think everything and Everyone needs to fold to there beliefs and wants.
Ward's problem is that although he has put in a bit of work his popularity doesn't match his accomplishments. He thinks it should but it doesn't. His problem is he thinks his skills should be the draw but the truth is the average PPV customer pays for excitement and to them Ward doesn't bring that. It has nothing to do with just because he's religious all religious fighters are self entitled. Ward refuses to go the Mayweather route but the reason Floyd sells so much is because he opens his mouth and he's incredibly skilled. Ward is too humble to do that.

I agree with you on honoring his contract. I don't think anyone has brought up vada testing before a fight. I remember Rodriguez asking for it at the press conference after the fight was announced. That's something you get put into a contract, not try to ask about it after the fact. The Froch hate has got to stop. I mean you beat the guy already Andre, if he doesn't want to fight you then leave it alone.

If he does retire, it will be a huge waste of a real great fighter. Ultimately it's his decision though, and if you don't have your heart in the sport you risk getting hurt.

Ward isn't going to retire but he is still salty about losing the Goosen case. Plus, he knows he can get a decent check commentating.

He should go to the UK and fight Froch though. It's the best option for him right now. Chavez and Froch can fight each other and leave him out in the cold. Ward should fight Froch in UK, then Chavez in Vegas and finally GGG at MSG. Then he should move up to 175.

I would say Ward's resume is better than Froch's resume. Ward's wins over Froch and Kessler are better than any of Froch's wins. It's close though because Froch is adding depth to his resume while Ward is doing blow by blow on HBO.

fighting groves wouldn't do antyhing for ward's resume. hell, he'd be freaking crucified for it.

while it's of zero benefit to sit at home, let's not act like froch is going to catch up to ward by winning domestic fights.
