he simply doesn't have the footspeed and handspeed to deal with algieri's style...he still did well considering.

not just the style he had to dealt with...algieri's stamina was outstanding. too bad provo fought a guy with a master's degree in nutritional science or something.

Rios is Ali compared to Ruslan....lol

I agree, but Rios is a horrible example. Hell, at least Ruslan fucked up the three guys that outboxed him and sent them to the hospital. All his losses have been very close and could have gone either way. Rios has been nearly shut out twice (Abril and Pacquiao) and had absolutely no answers. Both guys can be outboxed but with Ruslan you have to walk through hell to do it, not so much with Brandon who's easier to naturalize. Ask Alvarado who's the better fighter of the two.

I agree. I didnt watch it until last night so i already knew the outcome (obviosly) but provo didnt invest enough to the body. Roach should have told him to go with the body attack to slow him down and bring his hands down. Dont know what happened there.

I still think provo squeeked out a win IMO.

Props to Algieri. He's a warrior. I cant remember the last time somebody got knocked down and did a barrel roll.
Lol that barrel roll doe. #Ninja****

Also. Provodnikov has been exposed. I think people just expected Algieri to be a bum. And we all thought Provo could get to him early and often. We were sadly mistaken.

I had it 7-5 for Chris, but I really felt this fight could have been 7-5 either way in all honesty..I also felt,Prov hurting Algieri hurt his chances of winning this fight..It made his attack to focus up top,Chris was able to start timing Prov's punches cause of it..With one eye mind you,had Prov really invested to the body like he was doing early in this fight I believe he could have hurt Chris late..Prov has to learn from this,or at least I hope he will..I see nice things for both fighters down the line..

not really...they're just on the same level. at least provo knows how to move his head...rios just goes in with no head movements and then smiles when he gets hit in the face.

Ill admit, Algieri is much better than I had thought. Im a fan of both now.
