    The 140lb Picture

This is probably the most interesting division in boxing north of 130.

Algieri new champ, just upset Ruslan but Ruslan can come back.

Broner is probably moving down here so he'll bring the heat if nothing else.

Garcia is still at 140 so far as we know and has the best list of wins of any active 140lb fighter.

Matthysse is still a danger and a top 5 guy.

Peterson, for all his cheating still manages to hold a title LOL but I think it's there for the taking.

There's tonnes more in terms of prospects and up and coming challengers.

What fights would you like to see?

I think the fight that makes sense now, if Garcia stays at 140, is Garcia v Algieri, could be a huge co-promotion. I reckon its a win for Garcia and an almost clean sweep of the division (cue the Mathysse/Harrera fans lol).

Matthysse should rematch Molina and then fight Broner/Ruslan, both are epic fights.

140 has a ridiculous amount of triangle situations between its fighters. It's a jumbled, awesome mess.

Garcia one record as saying herrera was his last 140 fight, he cant make the weight no more hes moving out.

Broner is just a name for lord knows why but yes he is at 140

Molina is at 140 and is a decent fight for anyone.

Lucas is at 140 and is probably the only legit fighter at 140

Ruslan is at 140 and his hype that was built on fumes finally hit E but he still their

Rios is at 140 and is proven as any other fighter there.

Alergi holds a belt and just inserted himself into the discussions.

Peterson is a hasbeen who for lord knows why still holds a title.

Garcia may well be moving up but cant discount him till he dies.

Matthysse may become the defacto number one if Garcia does so, possibly a fight with Harrera and then Algieri/Ruslan to solidify his place there.

I doubt Broner fights him now.

Which Molina are you guys referring to? Isn't there 2-3 of them.

I think the 140 lb. division has a few fights I'd be interested in but that's really it. 147 lbs. is still where it's at.

Let's not forget about the old guys!

                -Pac
                -JMM
                -FMJ

These ol' dudes can still make 140. If the money is right and the PPV potential is high, I can see these guys moving back down. Likely, probably not, but not 100% out of the question.

After seeing Maidana whoop on Broner I would now love to see Algieri give him a boxing lesson. I have no idea why but that would make me smile.
