  • Comments Thread For: CompuBox: Chris Algieri Lands More, Far More Busier

Fighting most of the fight with a closed right eye, undefeated Chris Algieri pulled off the upset win on the cards of two judges by being the busier (83 punches thrown per round) and more accurate fighter. Ruslan Provodnikov clearly landed the harder punches all fight. [Click Here To Read More]

Roach dropped the ball on this one, I blame this lost on Roach, The only thing he said correct the whole night was, your gonna need a knockout. Rule #1 never follow a pure boxer, worst part was learn to cut off the ring. But Ruslan kept chasing the kid and Roach just let him do it. Now you wanna call out Pacquiao to get the job done so you can look good. Here the thing with me, you want all the credit when your fighters win like COTTO. Now one of your fighter loses, take the BLAME. Cause we leant one thing last night, if Roach plan A doesn't work. He got no plan B your on your own....

Looking at the final punch stat report, Algieri in fact does not land 'far more'. He lands slightly more overall. And Provodnikov was the 'busier' fighter throughout.

Are you blind? Plodding forward and landing an occasional hook is not busier. He was outlanded in almost every round.

You act like you were in the corner listening during the whole fight.. They didn't even show all of their back-in-forths the whole fight so how are you going to blame it on Roach?? Provodnikov was a bum ass boxer before he ever got trained by Roach. His biggest claim to fame was giving Bradley a close fight and that was because Bradley being a ****** felt like he had something to prove. Then he beat Alvarado?? Provo was the typical bum ass plodding brawler that dumb-dumbs support because they're in love with what they call "all action fights" LOL

I rather get hit by 100 Algeiri punches than 1 Ruslan right hook

This ain't the amatuers, power matters

I'd take 1 right hook, it is just one punch and it is over sooner.

So I guess landing 80 more punches and throwing 200 more means Algieri was the less active fighter. Makes sense.
