Well it was as pretty terrible plan... Took them 5.5 years to get a title shot, and not one top 10 ranked opponent in those 24 fights.

I think it had more to do with mismanagement. He should have been fighting for a title 2 years ago rather than fighting guys like Miguel Tomato Can (Tomayo), and Vyacheslav Gusev.

yeah the plan was to cherry pick for the right opponent and time to figh tfor a title. Lomachenko lost and looked vulnerable against a HUGE champion who is one of the dirties fighters in his division and one of the most aggressive pressure pro style fighters.

This will back fire on Russell, if he wins he gets no credit because he won a vacant title and a hollow win because Lomachenko was getting slammed as a scrub with no experience by some haters on here, the same haters who will praise Russell if he wins.

But he will lose, because if there was 2 more rounds, Loma could have stopped Salido, people forget that Loma basically was adjusting late he wasn't familiar with fighting 12 rounds, his trainer told him to pace himself its why he started so late, but Loma fought a guy who was basically two divisions above him on fight night and failed to make weight.

it was baptism by fire, and Loma passed in my eyes, he gained some value experience in one single fight, and Russell is going to be in for a rude awakening.

Russell thinks Loma is a walk over fight we shall see.

Russell will be exposed soon I don't think he has the grit that Loma has.

Russell is a boring fighter. And this coming from a Rigo fan. The 'plan' was... since he doesn't have the skills to fight the contenders, let's put him in with cans as long as we are possibly able to. Then fight a 1-1 Olympian for a vacant title. Yeah, sure, why not. I can see the logic. HA

I will enjoy every second of Loma dismantling this pretender.

Russell is a joke to me, he has skills but does he have the heart and balls that Loma had? Loma didn't have to fight Salido's huge ass after he failed to make weight, Loma showed heart in that fight and he was adjusting late and he took some heavy shots.

I want to know which opponent on Russell resume is at the level of Orlando Salido? Nobody, Russell is going to either pass or fail, we shall see, but if he thinks Loma is a walk int he park fight he is in for a surprise, Loma gained valuable experience in just that one fight, something Russell has never gained fighting TBA's and scrubs.

no the only thing that ruined boxing was the over hyping of un proven fighters. Until that stops nothing will change

Do us all a favor and stop watching boxing !! If you knew anything about the sport you'd know Floyd fought for a championship after only 17 fights against Hernadez who was 38-1 at the time.

You Pac stooges ruin the sport by being ******!
