The whole purse for the 2 fighters for the rematch was 1.5 Million dollars.The cut was 50-50.Pac gets 750K and JMM gets 750k.

Pac was OK with that.The problem was, JMM's camp, specifically, Beristain asked for 1.5 million for his fighter.He said alot of things that JMM has 2 belts, that he is the one taking risks...etc...etc...That amount was something that the promoters and HBO felt was way too much.

And thats the reason why the fight never pushed through.And yes, thats JMM's biggest payday.EVER...Poor guy, now he is fighting in Indonesia for a measly 31k....
