If you want to be known as a great brawler....

....then you have to be able to beat slick fighters.

It shows that you have mastered the footwork for punching and for cutting off the ring. Also that you have developed the championship level stamina to keep the pressure on for all 12 rounds.

Roberto Duran didn't cry about Sugar Ray Leonard's style, he just beat him.
Julio Cesar Chavez didn't cry about Meldrick Taylor's style, he just beat him.

Don't expect legendary status to be so easily handed to you. You have to earn it.

That was in their second fight though, after he had been partying it up and eating. He won their first fight.

Nobody said he was great at anything other than punching, nor has Ruslan talked himself up as TBE Brawler. What he does is good enough to do this - to well schooled boxers. So are you saying boxers are overrated as well? Can't have it both ways. Bradley is overrated too, so is Algieri. None of them are "great".

          I'm glad you agree.

If Ruslan wants to be great than he should step his game up. Getting hyped by HBO doesn't mean he is there yet. That's all I'm saying.
