Ruslan's one of my favorite fighters, but activity beat power punches tonight. I'm laughing at the people who said that Trout clearly lost, then go around and say that Algeiri clearly won.
I didnt watch tonight's bum fight, but Canelo outslicked the hell out of Trout. Trout outpunched with some pitty pats later on, but most of that fight was Canelo putting on a masterclass and defensive showing.

Broner beat the crap out of Paulie. Just because Paulie didnt go down dont mean he won. He got battered bro LOL

that's the only difference, if ruslan had even a slightly less amount of power, this wouldn't have been close

          RP lost..........

RP lost. He lost because he was following this guy around without throwing many punches. This was an inexcusable lost in my eyes. For those of you thinking he would have a chance against Manny, here's your prove he'd get Rios'ed. RP is a one trick pony and no average fighter can beat Manny or Floyd. They keep trying to build these young fighters and put them in with the greats, but they would get schooled. RP, Garcia, Bradley, Maidana, are all good fighters but they cannot beat the likes of Manny or Floyd. PERIOD.

The fight proved one thing, Provo is a fighter, and not a good boxer...we'll see where that takes him in his career...but you can't be champion for a long time with his style. If it was a phone booth fight Algieri would have been KOd in 1 round.

It was nothing like either of those fights, and neither of those fights are like each other.

Algieri clearly beat Ruslan. Alvarez/Trout could go either way. Broner clearly beat Paulie.

Boxers beat punchers, not activity fighters.

That stuff leaves you disoriented which will in turn shift the fight more towards your favor, he didn't do any of that.
He should take some tips from Cotto, who is a pro at hitting behind the head.

Had to laugh at this post, but in many ways I agree Dirtiness is in the eye of the beholder and intentional fouls do have a place in boxing.

Trout would have won on my card if not for the round with the knockdown, which he came back and outworked Canelo in. Malignaggi clearly lost..close but clear. Algieri won 8 rounds to me even though his face was a disaster.

The difference in all of these fights is a lot of Malignaggi's activity landed on Broner's guard, a lot of Trout's activity was slipped by Canelo, and most of Algieri's activity landed on Ruslan's face. That's the difference. 114-112 is the right score to me.
