  • Was Freddie the Reason Ruslan Lost? First time He was in Ruslan Corner since....

Today was the first time he was in Ruslan corner since Ruslan became the Ruslan we came to know, before it was always the lil filipino dude who would train and be is Ruslan for all of Ruslan Fights but tonight since Roach had nothing better to do he decided to take control and Ruslan Lost.

No ruslan lost because he lost all explosiveness after 5 rounds and seemed to slow up, and had no answer for the lateral movement, jab and combos from algieri.. That's why he lost, roach was giving good advice

Provodnikov can think for himself too, a trainer doesn't have to tell him to jab his way in and stop headhunting.

I didnt think so all he was saying to him was "head body son", "the fights close we need a knock out"

I thought telling him to go for the ko was a smart move. Ruslan had been pretty lethargic for a few rounds and allowed algieri to take control of the fight.. Roach was putting a sense of urgency into ruslan..

I just don't think that roach was the reason ruslan lost. All the credit has to go to algieri, he fought a great fight tonight

Yea of course all credit should go to Chris but Zimora (that flilipino trainer of Ruslan) told Ruslan to turn on the inside and fire off in the Alvarado fight and guess what Ruslan gave Alvarado angles on the inside and turning on the inside to land his shots, Ruslan this time on the inside same situation would just stand their, Roach didn't give him any particular instruction rather just vague instruction what every boxer already knows (head body, we need a knockout).

Ok, I get what your saying. That makes sense..

But to roach's defense, it's a lot harder for ruslan to angle vs a mover like chris, Alvarado is much more stationary

                  Marvin Somodio not Zimora.

Both Freddie and Marvin was giving instructions to Ruslan, why did he stop throwing punches on the body and just stay in front without any solid jabs is beyond me. I was yelling in front of my TV giving him instructions like he can hear me lol. I never saw Ruslan throw any upper whenever Chris lean forward, I never saw any effective combinations that made him a freaking beast, he will patty pat until he saw an opening while Chris slapped him all night long. I couldn't believe Tim hit harder than that dude. Compare Ruslan's face from Tim bout to last night fight. He was literally got ***** slap from pillar to post.

I think Freddie was right, the style of Ruslan won't last as a fighter. He always doesn't care if he get hit as long as he lands his shots. It's good thing that 3 of his loses came from non-big punchers, or else we might not be talking about him right now.
