Excuses! Excuses! Provodnikov said before the fight that he would have no problem with Algieri's style. Now he is making excuses. Since his promoter has aligned himself with Bob Arum, Provodnikov's next five fights should be Provodnikov/Pacquaio I, II and III and Provodnikov/Rios I and II because those are the only two fighters in Arum's stable who fight like he wants his opponents to fight and the only fights in which Provodnikov would have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

it's the worst style for fans as well.

if i wanted to see someone run for 12 rounds i might as well just watch track and field.

Poor statement from Provo here, of course you can say that privately but not publicly. I think most brawlers would rather face brawlers and not boxers/movers but you shouldn't let the world know that lol.

Is it really an excuse to say someone's style beats yours?

You see Freddie roach is a great trainer,he trained Provo 100% ready for this fight . The way I knew it was roaches coaching style when Provo started making excuses why he lost, the king of excuses trained him well for the post fight interview.that was it roach trained Provo with a mic and a bunch of excuses .aahh Freddie we found your formula.

Roach is a great trainer, no doubt! Probably the best trainer of this era in making boxers to more effective offensive fighters.. However, his weakness is to make his fighters effective against counter-punchers.

Provodnikov is like a more explosive Brandon Rios.. I like the guy but anybody with an ounce of boxing ability will handle him with ease! I can't believe they were guys here that though Provodnikov would walk through Marquez!

Still as long as he is matched right then he will make for exciting fights!
