What did Haye actually do at HW? Ran away & won a stinkfest against Valuev? Knocked out a shot to pieces Ruiz?

Haye's best win at HW is Dereck Chisora, and even then he was gassing badly at the time of the KO.

Dude, you can slam him for that **** if you want but look at it for what it really is, the guy stepped up from CW to fight giants that massively out-talled/reached him and/or massively outweighed him. He beat all of them, mostly by KO as well, except for Klitschko who outsized him by 3inches and 35 lbs as well as sporting a 60+fight experience all at HW. And made it pretty competitive, he did not get dominated.

Valuev, a 7' tall 320lb giant with a really good record and fundamental boxing ability- What was he supposed to do, clown him and knock him out? Yeah right, he is barely human.

He KO'd Harrison a big decent opponent and Chisora, much better than given credit for, Ruiz a veteran reknowned for spoiling.

He did this at HW after a full and terrific career at CW, the olden days version of HW.

He's good mate, make no mistake about that. Very few could beat him except for lucky punches.

Eh? Wlad utterly dominated him from the first bell. If Haye hadn't literally ran away from him for 12 rounds, he would've been knocked out.

I'm pretty sure that a shot to pieces Evander Holyfield (another former CW) beat up Valuev much more convincingly than Haye could manage.

Harrison is the biggest bum in boxing, well known for showing up to get paid & little else. Haye should never have fought him, & he nearly stopped Sky doing PPV boxing events ever again after that farce. As for Ruiz, c'mon dude.

He's talented, just a complete fraud and a pathological liar. Boxing will be a better sport when he goes away.

So you don't like him. No worries. His injuries were real, he's not a liar. But yeah when he pulls out like that too many times ppl lose faith I understand.

I seen the Haye, Holyfield, Chagaev performances against Valuev all pretty much similar really.

As for Wladimir, he did not dominate Haye. Both were very cautious not just Haye, Wlad won because he threw more punches and Haye did not take enough chances with the longer Wlad for fear of getting KO'd but Haye was very slick, made Wlad miss all night. Haye did not "run", he stood his ground on the edge, used body movement to avoid Wlad's shots and jumped in for a hayemaker sporadically and back out again. His whole gameplan was to jump in and out opportunistically for that one big shot which never came. Maybe a lousy plan but it was not running, he did not fight off the back foot all night like you're saying.

            Did you just say that David Haye isn't a liar? Ok let's see;

            1) I'm going to retire at 30 no matter what.

            2) I'm only coming out of retirement to fight a Klitschko. (Then fights Chisora)

            3) Said his shoulder was permanently damaged & would struggle to have a wank, let alone fight again. (Now he's claiming he's going to fight 3 times a year)

            4) Lied about an injury to get out a fight with Manuel Charr

These are just off the top of my head. I'll add more when i'm out of work & have more time to compose a response.

*edit* I remember someone did a brilliant post a while ago about every lie to ever come out of Haye's mouth. It was brilliant, i'm sure that if it was printed, it would cover 2 sides of A4!

I guess I should of been a bit more careful with words.

Ok sure he isn't a saint but most of those things you said there are white lies. Who cares if he said for example he would never fight again, then decides to come back. Maybe he felt he was done before and have a change of heart, that's his business.

As for number 4, that is a serious allegation which would definitely constitute what I'd call blatant lying.

However that's also a load of rubbish. Haye would never duck Charr, he would beat the living **** out of Charr so easy it'd barely be worth it.

In the end I don't reckon even VK could have beaten Haye for the last few years of his career.

Vitali lost the mobility to keep up with Haye I reckon.

I wouldn't care generally, but Haye has lied so often, every time i read or hear his bull****, it angers me.

I remember when he claimed he was going to KO Valuev etc, he never went anywhere near him. He claimed he was going to KO Wlad, never went anywhere near him. He claimed he would never fight Audley Harrison, that he was beneath him etc. What happened? Oh yeah, he fought him.

He talks a lot of ****, give you that.

The guy can ****ing fight though, I'm convinced.

When he wants to of course. I admit he is a prick of a man, he doesn't really want to do any hard yards he only wants to fight for big money or a title, preferably both, without any risk or build up fights in between, as if it's his right to step in and challenge at anytime LOL. He does think quite highly of himself and therefore earns himself hatred as I stated.

You're right mate, he can fight, that's what makes it so annoying.

The trouble with David Haye is, he doesn't want to be a boxer, deep down he hates the sport. He's desperate to be a celebrity, and simply uses boxing to try and attain mainstream celebrity status. If he landed a decent Holywood acting part tomorrow, i can promise you that you'd never see him at a boxing fight again.

Unfortunately for us, boxing is the only thing he's good at, and it looks like he's realised that himself. Hence this latest 'comeback'.
