Ruslan looked too relaxed out there. His style is dictated by his aggressiveness. He let Algieri steal the fight from him. HBO was trying to talk up Algieri that he had a great night. I just think Provodnikov had a bad night. He might just be a fighter who only rises to big name opponents and kind of gets bored when he is the favorite.

funny how he had the chance to fight bam bam and passed it. and some people saying provo would ko lucas, no way, he stops everything with his face, i love his style but he needs to improve his defense, not everybody is a light puncher like algieri.Comment

What a ****** thing to say...Freddie told ruslan in many occasions to throw the uppercut, but he never did. Wtf do u want Freddie to jump in the ring & throw it for him. Roach is one of the best ever & a hall of famer.Comment

Funny how when you're an American...
You need to win clearly beat the belt holder to gain the title... BUT when you're the yank DIFFERENT scenario isn't it...
Pathetic by USA and another reason why European title holders should not fight in American due to the heavy bias and favoritism of the so called American prospect.Comment

lot of ignorant posters dont understand what sport they are watching. Boxing, the point is to outbox your opponent. Algieri absolutely did enoughComment

Showcase fight right? BoxingScene fans are so inept. I thought Provodinkov won from the initial viewing, but I can't help but feel happy for Algieri, sort of like the Peterson-Khan fight.
Sour g****s from Ruslan in the post-fight interview sealed the deal for me. Crybaby just like Floyd. Funny how things fall apart when things don't go your way.Comment
