He used his feet to get outta harms way and he jabbed and sat down on shots when he needed to. He stopped Provodnikov in his tracks many times throughout the fight. I felt that after the first round when he told his corner im all right im fine, that he really meant it and that he was there to win and that he knew that he had the style, skills and fortitude to do just that. Big respect to both fighters. Styles make fights.

Provodnikov still retires Marquez. His problem is cyclists, more than counter punchers.

Don't you have to "take it from the champion?"
He did take it from the champion...systematically for 12 rounds. I had a feeling the judges were going to score based on the eye, but they are professionals and judged based on the output. Ruslan should of stayed with the body instead of going after the eye.

I do agree with you it was towards the end of the late rounds that all the talk of how close the fight could be. I thought Ruslan had it by at least 3 rounds but you never know it came down to a ring generalship fight tonight. I was more shocked of the scorecards a prime Arum would of had this boobytrapped from the get.

This is just the Build up for Pacquiao vs Provodnikov in November.. Now Provo will blame Roach for the wrong game plan and will split from roach and you know the rest

I think JMM at this point only wants a 147 pound title and now that Prov doesn't have it, there is less appeal.
