Will Mayweather just not fight in september and instead just fight Lara in May?

Mayweather is really just wasting time when it comes to choosing an opponent. If he is not fighting Danny Garcia then the only other thing I can envision him doing is just fighting once in 2014, and maybe in 2015 there will be some more appealing options. Lara should earn a fight with Mayweather by beating Canelo. Thurman could earn a Mayweather fight by Knocking out amir khan. And Danny Garcia who in my book has earned a chance to fight Mayweather even though he had one lackluster performance vs Hererra, people should not let that fight define the Career of Danny Garcia.

I fully expect TBE to fight Lara in May 2015.

If he becomes "The next guy to fight" yes he would. Out of the realistic opponents(Non TR fighters).

Mosley was "The Man" to beat at 147 in 2010.
Ortiz was "that guy" in 2011, Floyd fought him.
Cotto was the best possible option from 147-154 in 2012.
Canelo was the most hyped fight Floyd has been in since DLH.
Maidana was the next best option after his upset win over Broner.

If Lara beats Canelo, he will become "That guy" that Floyd can realistically fight, and fans/media will push for him to fight. That is of course if some WW like Porter, Garcia(soon to be WW), or Khan don't get a big victory and beat out Lara for that spot.

He never said anything about maidana. Both belts needs to be against someone like a 154 fighter. Like Lara. but that is too soon. I will not believe that he is fighting maidana until it comes out of his mouth.
