Comments Thread For: Provodnikov wants to wage war with Marquez after Algieri

A fight between Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez almost came to fruition earlier this year before falling apart at the negotiating table.

However, that doesn't mean the fight is dead in the water.

Marquez already took care of his end, defeating Mike Alvarado in May. Now, Provodnikov has to get past Chris Algieri on Saturday in the main event of "HBO's Boxing After Dark." [Click Here To Read More]

"A fight between Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez almost came to fruition earlier this year before falling apart at the negotiating table." Is that what you call it now when one guy makes up a total sham of an excuse to duck the fight? LOL...

In that case, Mayweather and Pacquiao fell apart at the negotiating table also...

Oh and btw...Marquez didn't "take care of his end." He purposely ducked the fight saying he wanted to fight for the WW title..and then fought the guy Ruslan KOed in a non-title bout...

Marquez is like "but he punches as hard as I do with roids, without roids!"

I'd love to see this fight. Marquez don't want it though. Already ducked provo once. Will probably duck again.

                Ruslan vs Marquez???

Watch, Marquez will ask for $20M.
But Rusllan already slaughtered the Alvarado guy that Marquez last beat, so for Marquez to prove that he is beyond Pacquiao, he should give Ruslan a chance. He cannot look for another Casamayor, Diaz, Likar Ramos, Serchenko, Katsidis, or the likes. He should challenge the big guys like Cotto, Keith Thurman, Provodnikov, Porter, and the list goes on. Without Pacquiao, Marquez's legacy is NOTHING.

sad but true. marquez should try and carve out a legacy that doesn't only revolve around his fights with pacquiao.
