Canelo vs Cotto wouldn't outsell anything Floyd would do; for one they can't charge what Floyd charges for tickets so right there they have been beaten at the live gate. By all accounts Floyd vs Maidana would have sold more than Canelo vs Angulo & Cotto vs Martinez combined. Like I said it would ****** to that anyways. They can fight on the Puerto Rican parade in June and make a lot more money than going head to head.

Why do people keep saying stuff like this? September & May Mexican holidays are Floyd's dates and nothing is going to change that except Floyd either not wanting to fight or this promotional stuff that is going on but no fight itself is going to stop Floyd's date.
You same people were saying this about Chavez-Froch and what happened? Arum then switched up and started talking about November. Arum is not going againsst Floyd and neither is Canelo-Cotto. No matter if you guys want to accept it or not, no one is coming close to a million buys but Floyd & Pac. Thats it. I dont care how big the Cotto-Canelo or Froch-Chavez fights are. They arent outdoing Floyd. He could fight nearly anyone and outsell them.
The most it could do is take some of his buys away but he's still going to outsell them and those promoters are still going to lose money. This isnt some internet kid shish. Arum & Oscar arent dumb. You think they are going to cut off there nose to spite there face? You think they are going to go against Floyd just so Floyd 900,000 buys go down to 750,000? If Floyd is getting 750,000 then how much you think they are going to get? Why go against someone who can maybe get a mil on his own?
Basically you are going into a fight knowing a guy is going to cut your head off. Cotto-Canelo is huge but Floyd is going to hurt there buys far more then they hurt Floyd's. Arum & whoever will lose far more money going against Floyd then the other way around. Why would Arum mimimize his profit. So you tell Arum or Oscar that you can put your fight on this day just to take some buys away from Floyd like we are kids or you can go on your own date and keep all the money and get all the buys.
Which one do you think a promoter will do? They arent ****** and giddy like all of you. Arum's not going to take all this money out his pockets just to say he took some buys from Floyd to make you guys happy. Its ****** & unrealistic. Only fight right now that is moving Floyd off a date is Pac vs Canelo and thats not happening. Nothing else moves Floyd. Nothing. Even then it probably doesnt move Floyd since they will still lose alot of buys themselves. Its just not worth it

You are not moving Mayweather out of his Date, he generates too much regardless if you like the guy or not and I doubt HBO will even attempt to do so and they certainly won't go head to head against him, I don't even think that is possible to be honest, everybody would lose money doing something so ****** like that just to prove what exactly?
Boxing have a way of working itself out, somebody else will emerge by May 2015 that is still far away, anything can happen by then. What happens if Lara beats Canelo? Then What? The Landscape of Boxing can shift and go in any direction quickly

The whole point of you guys is that Mexico-PR is huge but guess what, they are huge anyways. They dont need a holiday. Its not going to affect there buys that much. You think PR's or Mexicans need the holiday to watch or buy that fight? The same people will buy and watch it anyday so why go against Floyd who will take alot of buys from them? It makes no business sense and Arum or Oscar isnt in the business of throwing money away just so they can say they gave Floyd a huge headache. Shoot, most of the public who are causal fans and arent Mexican or PR mostly know Canelo & Cotto for losing to Floyd or Pac

Cotto or Canelo would give there left nut to get 850,000. Cotto just made 7mil against Sergio. Floyd is guaranteed 32 mil every fight and was just #1 on Forbes for the highest grossing athlete by a mile. Hell yes Floyd vs whoever outsells them. He just had a tough fight vs Maidana. If you think the rematch doesnt do better then Cotto-Canelo then you are smoking
Cotto vs Margarito II did 650k plus
You trying to tell me a much bigger super star with a much bigger fan base in Canelo Alvarez on May 5 won't do a million plus? Manny biggest PPV was against Cotto. Floyd 2nd and 3rd biggest PPV was against Alvarez and Cotto. And you are trying to tell me that Cotto vs Alvarez won't blow Floyd vs who ever (other than manny) out the water?
