I'm a huge Lara fan and i know he can outbox anyone and i mean anyone at 154 or 160, including the much over-rated Floyd Jr. Lara has better legs and mobility to hand him a loss, anyhow i got sidetracked..

Lara can easily outbox Canelo all night, the problem is GBP will stack all odds against him for Canelo to win by any means, you can bet that 2 of the three judges will be bought, size of the ring will be to the readhead's liking and other fishy business like they used against Lara in the Angulo fight, they asked him not to re-hydrate more than 10 lbs after the weigh in even though there was no such clause in the contract AND the female doctor in the corner disallowed Lara's team to put water on his head and neck throughout the fight! I confirmed that in the fight video. They will pull some similar **** this time too, and on top of that Lara allowed Canelo to fight at 155, he should've never allowed that!!
Canelo is a hype-job with very ****ty conditioning, he can barely fight 12 rounds and now can't even make 154, plus the dude had to buy out Angulo to get back in the W column.

Canelo can have a tainted, controversial win against Lara, which i'm expecting to see but he sure as **** aint looking good against him.

So in other words you're already piling up the list of excuses you're going to use if Lara loses?

canelo will do a lot better in this fight than i think people are giving him credit for. canelo will neutralize lara's speed and hurt him with his power. that;s what i see in this fight.

Lara fights down to his competition. I don't know why people on here act like he is a Rigo clone just because he is Cuban. He is way more vulnerable than Rigo is. Canelo has faster hands than Lara already.

I think Canelos power and fast hands will surprise Lara if he's not cautious and doesn't keep his distance early. Lara a good fighter but doesn't have experience with fights of this magnitude and tends to go into a shell and get shaken up in the big fights I've seen him in with the exception of Williams when he was young & hungry. If he improved so much since then he should of been able to let he hands go an get Trout out of there when he had him hurt..

Lara's balance isn't that great from what I've seen and I don't see all this quickness everyone speaks looks kinda slow to me especially for a Cuban fighter. I think Canelo will win this fight and I think body punching will have a lot to do with it that and his strength. Also Canelo's not really a slow fighter either I think he has quicker single shots and combination then what Lara does he just looked awful against Floyd so I guess people think he's slow I used to too until I actually rewatched his fights if anything he should work on his timing and angles.

Lara has never been knocked out before. There is a first time for everthing, of course, but I think if Canelo wins it will be by decision. Lara will win, however.

It was competitive, sure the decision should have probably gone to Lara, but it wasn't an undressing..Williams had his moments, and I thought Quintana undressed Williams, and Lara didn't.. It wasn't on the level of rigo-donaire cintron-angulo, canelo-Floyd, etc.. Guys like Floyd, rigo. Hopkins, would make easy work out of Williams,and Lara never has had a performance like that except for maybe the trout fight..
Lara gets overrated a lot because he does have good skills and is a "slick Cuban" but I think he is a notch below the truely elite guys.. I put him on the same level as a chemito or prime chris Byrd or Cory spinks.. Good skills, just not elite

Nonsense. Why do you think Floyd went on vacation and announced his return less than a month after Williams moved up to middleweight?

Williams beat Martinez - a victory which is better than Floyd's best win and just as good as Rigo's.

Lara beat Williams just as convincingly as Rigo beat Donaire.
