Jordan Shimmell signs with Al Haymon

This is a local boxer to me from the Grand Rapids Michigan area. I followed his career for several years during his Golden Gloves stint. He was impressive and won State several times and Nationals once. He has had 15 bouts so far but has had pretty crappy matchups. He has had to fight many of his fights at heavyweight even though he is a natural Cruiser. He does have skills and has been a sparring partner for Adonis and Klitchko. I hope this means big things for him.

Seen him at a couple amateur fights here. He is ok and he is from the Mitten.

He is a better pro than amateur. In the amateurs his power wasn't really allowed to come through and he competed at 201+ at the end. In the pros he comes in as a natural Cruiser with good power for that weight class and pretty good technigue along with decent stanima. He could make waves in a division that is pretty sparse right now. He is ranked above BJ Flores and just behind RJJ on boxrec.com right now.

When Haymon finds himself a promoter, I wonder how he plans to showcase all these fighters he's signing given that he's limited to fighting only on Showtime.
