Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Trainer Feels Martinez is Finished at Top Level

Gennady Golovkin and trainer Abel Sanchez have their work cut out for them as they will be taking on a fighter who most feel will be his toughest challenge to date in former champion Daniel Geale.

While they have their next opponent set, both Golovkin and Sanchez were ringside to scope out a possible future opponent last week when Miguel Cotto took on Sergio Martinez for the lineal middleweight championship.

Cotto surprised many by the way he was able to dominate Martinez from start to finish and he ultimately dethroned the long reigning middleweight king. When BoxingScene spoke to Abel Sanchez, he was asked for his thoughts regarding the fight.

Every time I hear/see "Golovkin's trainer" or "Abel Sanchez" I just cringe. The first thing that comes to mind is when he said Golovkin was above Hagler or whatever nonsense. I truly dislike this dude.

I agree with his assessment or observation of the cotto/martinez.
But this guy is very bias. Ggg better than hagler? Never heard that one before. Still too early to tell. Lets ggg take out some a side fighters, lol. Then maybe he can start talking about a legacy. Right now, he can even shine haglers shoes. Kiss my converse, sho nuff!!!

Every trainer is biased towars his own fighter and with GGG and his amateur + pro record nothing speaks against having alot of confidence in him.

I don't remember him saying GGG is better than Hagler. You have a link?
