    Wear and tear

So roach said Martinez was done because of all the wear and tear in the Chavez jr fight... What does he mean by that? Jr got beat up for 11 rounds so is he damaged goods as well?

Roach doesn't want to think that he failed as a coach in the Chavez-Martinez fight, so he's trying to salvage something by saying Chavez is responsible for Martinez' downfall.
