It’s close to five months since Dierry Jean stepped into the ring with IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson. The Canadian based Haitian put up a sterling effort but ultimately lost for the first time.
Jean would drop a unanimous decision by scores of 118-111, 116-112 and 115-113 in Peterson’s home town of Washington D.C.
Since the loss Jean has elected to drop to lightweight where Friday night he meets Mexican veteran Daniel Ruiz.
