I hope Jr. sticks to what he knows is proper negotiating etiquette. Arum is an untrustworthy snake trying anything he can to keep boxers tied to his company til they're used up like Pacquiao.

That's pretty slimy of Arum to want Chavez Sr to handle the contract talks. I guess he figures he can easily get over on Sr and make him accept an unfavorable deal.

It's pretty reasonable and understandable of Chavez Jr not to want his dad or himself negotiating any type of contracts, that's what managers are for and that's the reason he has one.

Just like a snake to use somebody you love to compromise you. So he used Bradley's wife to sign him to the bull**** deal eh? should've guessed it.

"Cold War", Is A Catchy, Over-Used Term Today; Too Much Ego Today

Chavez Jr is a headcase, his dad even admitted as much after Juniors last fight. Freddie Roach even said Junior only showed up to train four days to fight Sergio Martinez. So he'd like to use his buddy, Floyd Junior's excuse that Arum once again is the problem. Just an entitled diva who cries foul, or disrespected. He's had how many professional fights, and only now claims he doesn't understand contracts??? Then learn, idiot. You're in business for yourself. Just because you have a manager is no sign you should get educated, so one day you don't wake up and wonder wear all your money went . Cotto & Martinez had no problem coming together on terms. GGG was signed and on the contract to come up and fight you, he understands contracts. He's coming up in weight to fight you. You're the one that balked. You didn't want to fight Gennady, so you blame Arum. Floyd does the same thing so not to fight Pacquiao. As your Legend father had said to you, "Grow up; you're a waste of talent".

Good for Chavez, he'll probably get low-balled badly for his next fight and he'll have to take it, if he wants his freedom. I won't be surprised if Arum feeds him to Kovalev so he can get fight options with Main Event for Kovalev's fights like Arum received with Provodnikov when dealing with Banner Promotions.

Who cares about Chavez Jr. He doesn't take Boxing serious anyway.

Even better post. I was hoping someone noticed that Arum has used this tactic before. Bradley went for the bait, used his wife instead of a lawyer. I'm sure that will come back to haunt him. Props to Jr. for not being that ******.

Arum is a control freak, greedy pos. Keane isn't Arum's lackey like Koncz is. Promoters and managers should not be on the same page all of the time...they are supposed to have conflicting interests..and that adversarial relationship should benefit the fighter. When the manager and the promoter are basically on the same side...it never works out for the fighter. Arum likes guys he can BS and get to agree with him: Chavez Sr., Michael Koncz, etc.
