That's exactly my first reaction if this actually happened.. They know wilder probably gets beat first time he steps up, that's why they have been so protective of him.. Trying to cash him out on PPv in his first real fight

it shouldn't be a PPV. Give them as much exposure as possible then have the unification v Wlad as PPV

Espinoza just wants to bring back the glory days of the Afro-American champ. Seeing how a lot of casuals are easily swayed it's not that hard a sell. David Haye vs Audley A-Force was ppv in UK loool

Just read that earlier... This is not a PPV event, just like Canelo-Lara isn't either.

They are testing the waters with these PPV fights to see if fans bite. They tried to do it with Broner-Maidana but backed off, and now they are trying it again.

I buy ALL PPVs so I am definitely part of the problem but I am going to force myself to not purchase Canelo-Lara... It would be the first PPV I haven't purchased since 2001. I must remain strong though which will be hard... If I fail then I hope I am just one of the very few who do buy it.

I wouldn't think it gets it's own PPV, Maybe on the Mayweather undercard in Sept that be all right

I hope not. Who outside of boxing heads even know who Wilder is?
Why spread a rumor like this unless they're testing the waters.

I was talking to some dude yesterday who was telling me about some great heavyweight who is 6 4 and got 28 wins and 28 kos and would KO Mayweather. His info was sketchy af but at least he knew who wilder was lol

This would be a GREAT opportunity to get some boxing on CBS again. If I remember correctly, Stiverne/Arreola did decent numbers on ESPN, so why not try to get this figh on CBS.
