It could be, the WBC never misses a chance to get a Mexican a title fight if they can help it.

But also PR boxing has been down lately. And Mexican boxing is very healthy so even if the WBO was biased against them they just won't be denied when it comes to winning that belt.

It's an interesting situation and I really don't have an answer as to why things are the way they are.
