he gets overrated by some and underrated by others, like most fighters. i personally think he is a phenomenal fighter who gets underrated by many in terms of ability. he just needs the chance to prove just how good he is, which is were he gets overrated. he hasnt really accomplished a whole lot considering the lofty praise he often receives. then again you want to praise him since he really is terrific and it isnt his fault he hasnt had a chance to truly prove it.

kind of like rigo before donaire, except even ggg isnt as good as el chacal.

LMFAO at Racist people accusing others of being Racist that is HILARIOUS

Respect is Mutual, you have some people who bash American Fighters every chance they get but at the same time want their fighters to be loved and respected in America and it doesn't work like that.

I like GGG, I think he is the best Middleweight in Boxing but he still has to go out and prove that against TOP COMPETITION before Crowning him. That goes for EVERY FIGHTER, of course IN AMERICA people will be bias Towards AMERICANS it is like that in EVERY COUNTRY. Local fans will be biased towards Local fighters but America fans are Fair, if you are good and Humble like a Pacquiao, you can come to the US and become a SUPERSTAR and make a lot of Money.

GGG is not like some of his fans thank goodness, he is a very humble guy who respect the sport and his fellow fighters so I think he can become a Star here in the US if he keeps winning and if he impresses against Top Middleweights but you can't try to put him up their with Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ward, JMM and other P4P guys when he has yet to fight any of the top fighters in his Division. He is still growing his name and his brand here in the US he is not a Superstar or a Big Draw or PPV Star YET let him continue to prove himself first.

Hes fun to watch for sure but not a P4P fighter and not this unbeatable tank by any stretch of the imagination.

Need to see step up the competition quickly hes 32, 33 years old now and has the resume of a 23 year old prospect. When Geale a guy who got split vs a guy like Barker could be your best win of your career thats a problem imo.

Anxious to see him step up the competition. But crowning liek many have echoed in here is REALLY premature. He has yet to fight one fighter worth a damn and after the Geale fight Ill still feel the same way. Time to step if something doesnt open up at MW then move up.

I dont want to see him vs Andy Lee next.

I think people just get fed up when their favorite fighters are called cherry pickers who don't fight the best yet GGG has a worse resume and gets a pass.

                It's a double standard.

Deontay Wilder is doing the same thing, isn't he? Yet he gets criticized a lot as being a fraud and a hype job.

When he does something with an A fighter I'll be impressed. I keep telling people the Deontay Wilders and GGG's dont impress me until they do what they do to bums to the top guys in the division, because blowing away over matched opponent doesn't make you no beast. I been around boxing long enough to know when to call a guy truly great. The hype some times is followed by greatness, and some times by derailed ass hype trains .
