stevenson and kovalev arent in his weightclass. he shouldnt need to leave his division before he is ready to get a good fight, he will move up when the time is right for him meaning when he grows into the division.

froch is the one who wont fight ward too, not the other way around. they say ward doesnt sell enough tickets yet they include bika in the conversation. they talk about degale, kessler, even paul and callum smith but not ward. if his name is brought up by someone else they are quick to dismiss it and change the subject. they want chavez jr, someone whos status exceeds his ability. not the opposite in ward.

there really arent many options for ward, both froch and kessler refuse to fight him. who else is there at 168lbs? surely chavez jr if he moves up would rather take on froch considering thats a much easier fight.

ward needs to forget about getting a PPV fight and just stay busy. anthony dirrell, sakio bika or james degale would all be decent defenses. just because you deserve to be on PPV doesnt mean you will, ward is being too much of a baby about it. its an unfair situation but he has to make the best of it.
