I have always thought that if pac had struck out on his own like DLH that he would have become even bigger than DLH ever was. That is the type of love that Pac gets from fans.

Sadly most of pac "fans" aren't fans of pac. They spend their time talking crap about Floyd and making excuses for Bob. Putting all the attention and focus on the them and none on the guy you claim you like.
    This right here.

The ONLY way a Golden Boy fighter gets in the ring with Pacquiao is if Lonesome Bob gets options on the GB fighter.

No it was cause Floyd was fighting an "18-1 underdog". So now arum is against mis matches all the sudden

Was Cotto-Martinez a in-house fight? What about Chavez-Martinez? Hell just recently Terrance Crawford fought Ricky Burns. Arum works with pretty much evverybody, except Golden Boy in recent years.
Neither Miguel Cotto or Sergio Martinez are signed to Top Rank.

When was the last time Pacquiao fought a non-Top Rank opponent?

I've heard both. Is it possible that both reasons apply? The thing to watch for is the making of great fights that we all want to see. Let's hope it happens.

Some of yall are blind how can yall post here everyday and not read the article. Yall making all these half ass arguments when you got this sites whole archive to look back on to tighten up your ****** arguments.
Bottom line is this, you won't get the fights that you "want".
The way boxing has been the past few years, it has rarely been better .
The whole we are missing the big fights thing is a myth filled with so many nuances other than just the "cold war".
And fighters will still be separated by either/and/or a new promotional company and contacts with HBO/Show time.
some of yall can't think but 5 minutes ahead of your face.

So Haymon and Schaefer(before leaving)make the fight, and DLH gets credit because Schafer has since left the company?!..so the 2 people who supposedly are behind this cold war, (since Rob Arum is innocent)made a fight showing otherwise, and somehow DLH is looked at as the hero for doing nothing, except being the figure head of the company????!!!
              Wow....

Purse bid happen before for Lara-Vanes so I don't understand how this is a major step towards the end of the "Cold War". Is Gary Russell a Goldenboy fighter? I thought he was independent, only working with Al Haymon.
