I too have no problem with Povetkin. And yeah he did demolish Charr systematically. I've said many times before... it would be excellent if someone were able to get a good ref to keep Wlad from grabbing and holding all the time. That's about all that's kept him with all those titles for so long. But Pov vs any top HW now would be interesting.

A rematch would be great, the first fight was a real spoiler. Weltschmerz critiqued Wlad for that performance.

You can equally blame Povetkin in the first fight. He had no plan B.

            Hmm....

That's not exactly true. You said it was Povetkin's fault.

I said that the fight was disappointing and blamed both parties. Wlad for his excessive holding and Povetkin for having no plan B.

At least he's not giving up after losing to Wladimir like most of the challengers do.

I just watched the first fight the other day, or some it, because I honestly could not sit through the whole fight. And as a Wlad fan I will say it was a horrible display by him and it made little sense. Simply because he hurt Povetkin several times and I honestly believe he would have stopped him if he only let his hands go more often. But in fairness to Wlad, Povetkin was also a bigger part of the problem then the solution. And why? Because every time he was on the inside he also wouldn't let his hands go. So, in my opinion the fight ****** but it was also a two way street. And Wlad's style may have ****** more but in my opinion Povetkin wasn't far behind. In my opinion Eddie Cotton should be the ref in ever Wlad fight and I truly believe they would be better fights.

David Haye is planning to return in September/October. Could we see Haye vs. Povetkin?
