WBO 140-pound champion Ruslan Provodnikov (23-2, 16KOs) is under the impression that undefeated challenger Chris Algieri (19-0, 8KOs) is taking him lightly as this Saturday's HBO televised showdown approaches at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

This will be Provodnikov's first title defense since capturing the belt with a stoppage victory over Mike Alvarado last October in the champion's backyard of Denver.

Looking forward to watching Ruslan this Saturday, only footage I've seen of Chris Algieri is of him getting knocked out in a kickboxing match so I expect the same thing to happen to him on Saturday night.

Algerian doesn't stand a snow-balls chance in hell.

I have a sense of genuine fear when it comes to the safety and health of Algieri facing Provodnikov. Provodnikov might retire this guy.

I know nothing about Algieri. All I know is Prov is the type of fighter who is capable of losing at any time. He has very limited boxing ability. He gets hit way too easily. A lot of his success against Bradley had more to do with Bradley fighting too careless.

With that said I think HBO and Top Rank both want Prov to win badly and they probably carefully picked his opponent.

He beat Bradley, and many believe Bradley would be one of the only guys at 147 troubling Mayweather. Hold that thought for a moment.

Fight will be stopped either by himself, his corner , ref or doctors before he takes that kind of career ending punishment either

If he's not worried now, he will be once he tastes one of your hooks...

Anyone but Bradley that night would've been KTFO by those connects. A little more time and the judges wouldn't be needed. Provodnikov will connect as long as he has that snap and consistent pressure in his arsenal.

Algieri has NO shot period! Can't understand who made this mismatch fight and why.
