Exactly! And if it is for the 154 and 160 titles, both Mayweather and Cotto would have to come in at or below 154 and the winner if it is Mayweather, would win one title and still have two others, total three. If Cotto were to win he would have two titles, picking up 154 and defending 160, not winning 147 obviously. That's a lot of strings to pull though because the sanctioning body for the dormant title (such as the one Floyd has at 147) would have to lose out on making any money. They would probably strip any other fighter for being inactive for that period of time while the fighter defends his 154 pound title and attempts to win a 160 pound title.

Mayweather probably wants to face Cotto again and have the 147 to 160 pound titles all on the line.Comment

I don't see Cotto making 147 and he would have to for the 147 pound titles to be on the line. If he could possibly make 147 then as long as all sanctioning bodies agree.......but with Mayweather's name and money, that may not be too hard. Biggest issue is Cotto making 147. If that can happen, all 3 titles could be on the line and the 4th one, the WBA 147 title too.Comment

What's all the confusion here? Floyd is trying to use a gimmick to keep his 154 title without fighting at 154..nothing more to discuss....
It's a catch weight on steroids...because his opponent must 147 also...
All you Floyd-worshipers must be tired of making fools out of yourselves as hypocrites to defend Floyd...Comment

Margarito was actually allowed to weigh-in @ 150 though...Floyd's opponent would come in at 147 LOL..so I guess you're right...Floyd will be able to defend his title against most likely a guy who has never even fought at 154 (e.g. Maidana, Danny Garcia)Comment

The bottom line is...Floyd will defend his 147 and 154 pound titles against Maidana or Garcia at 147... Wow so epic.. ::yawn::
Floyd is really trying to use gimmicks to crack that 1 million PPV mark I see... I would not be surprised if Mayweather starts saying he'll consider fighting Pac again just to promote his fight...Comment
