It's an team effort all of the factors involved has something to do with it, bottom line viewership has gone up and they have made money on the ppv's. So the point to this thread was that esponisa is doing a great job and he want be fired for losing them money. I listed a full break down of the lowest numbers I could gather on mayweather ppv numbers and dollars against the 32 million dollar guarantee and they are making that back and some on the low end. Do the math yourself numbers never lie showtime is loving this contract and HBO would gladly broadcast the next Floyd mayweather 24/7 and ppv if they had the chance.

It's possible that Showtime Boxing is in bad shape and they are losing money but you would need to have some SERIOUS inside information to know that. According to their 1Q'14 release, CBS reported that "Cable Networks revenues for the first quarter of 2014 increased 12% to $537 million from $478 million for the same prior-year period." Sounds like the exact opposite of losing money.

        You left out....

"This growth was driven by higher revenues from the licensing of Showtime original series as well as higher affiliate revenues, reflecting increases in rates and subscriptions at Showtime, CBS Sports Network, and Smithsonian Networks.

Cable Networks OIBDA for the first quarter of 2014 grew 12% to $259 million from $231 million for the same prior-year period, primarily a result of revenue growth. The increase was partially offset by higher programming costs, partly as a result of the timing of sports programming."

You guys all of a sudden care about what showtime and cbs make. All I'm saying is that showtime ppv money invested in Floyd mayweather has made them net profits end of the story. I don't care what they have spent or spend. I'm just pointing out ppl hate Floyd so much they hate esponisa now. I posted the ppv numbers took the lowest possible numbers and then use what Floyd haters said the fights sold and still found a 24 million dollar ppv profit.

Didn't leave it out. In fact, I thought your first paragraph was redundant because someone else mentioned the heavy advertising of their original series' during sport programs. Further, it can be argued that the increase in subscriptions may also include people who follow boxing.

Finally, I didn't include the second paragraph because...still not sure what it's suppose to show to you? That they spent more on programming and saw a profit -- a 12% increase? Not sure there is much to deduce from that.

it's the profit that really matters not revenues.

That's actually pretty good... They're finally cracking a million....I think Canelo/Lopez was the first show to do that.

Since when do people actually care about what a network makes or doesn't make?
