    Baltimore, MD (June 10, 2014) – Undefeated multi-division world champion Tori “Sho Nuff” Nelson will defend her WIBA welterweight belt against longtime contender Nicole Woods Saturday, June 28 in the main event a Ponytail Promotions card at the Du Burns Arena.

    One of the best female fighters on the planet, Nelson is 9-0-1 with one win by knockout. Hailing from Ashburn, VA, the popular Nelson’s fresh off a second round stoppage of ring legend Mia St. John in May. The 37-year-old captured titles at welterweight and middleweight, traveling to Trinidad and Tobago in 2011 to win the latter. A true world champion, Nelson twice battled to controversial draws against Teresa Perozzi in her native Bermuda.

    An Atlanta, GA native, Woods has one of the most impressive resumes in the sport. Dubbed as “Notorious”, Woods shared the squared circle with a number of top fighters, often fighting on the road. She’s fought the likes of Cecelia Braekhus, Melissa Hernandez (twice), Erica Farais, Belinda Laracuente and Kimberly Connor amongst others. In 27 pro fights, she’s been stopped just once.

    The Woods-Nelson bout is scheduled for 10 rounds.

    In the co-featured bout of the evening, Baltimore’s Willie “For Real” Williams, 13-7-2 (4 KO’s), battles Norfolk, VA’s Frankie “Freight Train” Filippone, 15-4-1 (2 KO’s), in an eight round light heavyweight contest. Williams and Filippone, who is a police officer in ******ia, meet for the vacant USBU championship.

    Rising welterweight star James “Keep’Em Sleepin” Stevenson looks to go 22-0 when he faces an opponent to be announced in an eight rounder. One of the many talented fighters in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, Stevenson’s inching closer to a major fight in the near future.

    In separate undercard bouts, prospects Demond “Dbestatit” Nicholson, Jeremy Trussell, Tyriesha Douglas, Seth Billups, Glenn Dezurn, Alexandru Marin and Andrew Farmer along with surging lightweight Tyrell “Da Show Shocka” Samuel, Travis Reeves and Kevin Womack Jr. will face opponents to be named.

        You are absolutely right. She is not among p4p at all. She is highly rated in welterweight division with the ABCs but nothing else. You can easily check this at Boxrec.com
