The 30-year-old Ward (24-0, 16 KOs), who defended his crown seven months ago in a wide unanimous decision over Edwin Rodriguez, was asked about making a move up to the 175-pound light heavyweight limit. [Click Here To Read More]
Dude is whining about Goosseen not getting him fights...and then in the same breathe Ward admits he's going to duck a Kovalev fight...

Ward wants no part of fighting a bigger man whom he can't push around all day and hit and clinch all fight...

Ward get lost your overhyped, overrated pos...who needs every demand in your favor in order to take a fight...

Dude is 30 and still hasn't won a title in more than one division..how is he pound for pound top 3 when he fought 2 unranked opponents in the last 3 years...

Oh by the way, STFU until you actually have a fight signed up and you aren't whining about your contract... Thx.

      ....and there it is....

Ya know, jones found himself in a similar situation @ 168...he could have waited to see if some of the smaller money dudes would move up...couldn't get benn and the likes, so instead went to 175 and fought some solid dudes there...carved out a good career in the process

Sometimes it is what it is man. ward trippin

Only money fights are overseas and Chavez Jr...and you can't get Chavez Jr unless you sign with Arum.

You're pretty much going to be making the same money

I'd buy Kovalev vs Ward on PPV

And the fans aren't demanding to see you fight because we don't wanna see a clinch and headbutt fest

Also what's up with these fights he turned down for being step downs? Sounds like he's just trying to make it sound like a one way street

Seems to be all about the money at this stage. If the demand grows for a fight with Kovalev don't be surprised if he jumps networks like Stevenson.

LOL you will get double-standard racist-fans from the church of Mayweather who defend any Black fighter...just based on race... leaving comments actually defending this pos who last fought an unknown and has the nerve to use the excuse for not taking a fight that who else is there next if I beat Kovalev LOL

Here come the church of Mayweather worshipers..defending this pos in 5,4,3,2,1...

Ward is clearly looking to fight Chavez. What if Froch gets to Chavez first? Is he gonna continue to wait for some PPV fight that may never come?

At this point, the fans are demanding you retire

Your statement makes no sense. If the demand for the Kovalev fight grows...but it's all about money..why would he jump to Showtime? Only reason would be he's scared his hit and clinch style won't work on a bigger man he can't push around...

Ward has no fight lined up...and fought a nobody in his last fight..and hasn't had a fight of notoriety in over 3 years.drained Dawson fight doesn't even count..Dawson wasn't even ranked at 168..it was a joke that fight was made in that division in the first place...what he did was worse than a catch weight..he purely drained Dawson and Dawson will never be the same...

Ward is 30 years old...and is still virtually unknown outside of Cali...

Ward is the new Mayweather minus the fans, money, and fame LOL...

But hey Ward is "undefeated" because that has historically really mattered in boxing... LOL
