Saying he has a weak chin is stretching it. He's been dropped by Lopez (a big puncher), De La Hoya (he recovered both times), Phillips (in his second fight back from a LONG layoff against a top rated jr welter)...
He has a solid chin. He took all of Vargas' best shots and has taken some really good shots from other fighters. The only punch hes extremely susceptible to is the left hook...as evidenced by De La Hoya and Phillips. He can't seem to avoid it.Comment

As for the fight, wow I just read this on ********* before coming here...and then I was about to post this up before seeing this thread.
I think Ouma will probably outwork Quartey en route to a decision, but I'll pull for my boy Ike all day. I like both fighters a lot, but Ike has been one of my favorites for awhile. I think he will find success with the jab, but ultimately won't have the stamina to maintain a large enough attack later when Ouma starts pouring it on.
Ouma by decision but LETS GO IKE! Gotta love the showdown between two great african fighters.Comment

Once again you guys are acting like Ike is not supposed to get hit. He always has been hit...his entire career.
I don't care if its a jantuah he's against or some other hard puncher...he's not going to fold. He remains a threat because of his huge punch.
people forget how hard his jab is, as well as the right hand.
Sure, he could be wobbled against Ouma, but He's gonna impale him on the end of his jab.
