Props to Algieri. When the fight was announced I tought he could give Ruslan some trouble with his awkward style and his height & reach advantage. Outside of the first round, he fought a smart fight.

Not sure about the scorecards though. I didn't score the fight but I thought it could have gone either way.

I agree with the decision. A few rounds could have gone either way and I wouldnt have complained if Ruslan had gotten the decision. Really really good fight! I would love to see Algieri vs Garcia because I have no doubt he whoops Garcia worse than Herrera did.

I have to say that now I understand how the Garcia fans felt during the Herrera fight. I felt like Provodnikov won but I am sure that it's just my bias getting in the way of rational thinking. Props to Algieri for maintaining his composure and fighting a smart fight.
