    2014 a slow year?

Anyone feel that 2014 have been a slow year so far? The only fight comes to mind that I've enjoyed is Matthysse-Molina and Andy Lee KO.

It's like moving through a sludge of mud and nothing's happening. Or I'm getting bored too quickly and need a compelling fight every other night.

            I don't know, it started off bad but got better. Pac/Bradley, Mayweather/Maidana, Froch/Groves, Cotto/Martinez...

            We have Crawford/Gamboa, Lomachenko/Russell, Alvarez/Lara, and Golovkin/Geale soon. There's other fights I know I'm forgetting.

I agree it has been a slow year compared to last year.

Really? I think it's been a great year for boxing so far. We already have a KOOTY candidate in Froch-Groves II, we've had some fun fights like Fonfara-Stevenson, Molina-Matthysse, and Mansour-Cunningham. We've had better than expected performances by Maidana, Fonfara, and Cotto.

And the summer will be packed with great fights. Just look at the schedule:

                June:

                Gamboa-Crawford
                Provodnikov-Algeri
                Lomachenko-Russell Jr

                July:

                Lara-Canelo
                Fury-Chisora II
                Golovkin-Geale

                August:

                Kovalev
                Rios-Chaves

It doesn't end in summer, either. In September, we have a Floyd fight, and Klitschko-Pulev. We're supposed to have Wilder-Stiverne in November.

Hell, you can throw Arreola/Stiverne II in there as well.

Not at all. We've had the three biggest stars fight, and it's early June. There's even more big fights to come.
