Andre Ward thinks he's Floyd Mayweather

Time and time again, Andre Ward says how he feels that he is satisfied with what he has done in his career and that he's still the king of his division. He seems to think that because of this reason he doesn't need to fight people like GGG or Chavez, yet, he claims they're also the fighters ducking him. Not only does this sound contradictory, but it also comes across as very arrogant from someone who is supposed to be very humble.

This is very similar to what Floyd says in defense of fighting Manny Pacquiao. He'll say that he doesn't need Manny, but on the other hand Manny doesn't want to fight.

    What do you guys think?

i think you are a moron.

ward never contradicted himself when it comes to ggg and chavez jr. he has stated he would like to fight both of them, but he wont drop down in weight so its up to them if the fights will happen or not. if it happens, great. if not, he will find other avenues.

same approach he takes to any potential opponent. the thing people dont seem to understand is that making fights isnt as simple as it seems.

    its not just..
    "want to fight?"
    "sure"
    "great, deal"

its more complicated than that so you cant put all your eggs in one basket, naturally you try to make the best fight possible but you always need to have a plan B because fights falling through is just part of boxing. it has been in every era despite what some people seem to think.

ward has the right attitude, he doesnt need to fight these guys. he is the best in his division and they arent even in it. im not saying he can avoid them, he has to be willing to fight certain guys if they deserve a crack at him and want their shot. but if they arent interested there is no need for ward as champion to cry himself to sleep at night. he has to be willing to answer the call, but if the phone isnt ringing its not up to him to chase guys down.
