I think Roach watched him spar Chavez at Wildcard too.
He did. He was giving Jr. instruction.

Floyd said he wasn't going to do a lot of moving around in the ring before that fight also. He moved around a lot more in the ring when he fought Ortiz. He didn't claim that he was going to stand in front of Ortiz. Then he fought Miguel Cotto and said the he wasn't going to do a lot of moving around before that fight. He kept his promise again. Then he fought Robert Guerrrero last year and made no such claims before that fight. And what happened? He boxed so many circles around Guerrero that Ruben Guerrero and Robert both were complaining after the fight about how he didn't go toe to toe and that he ran. He did not make the assertions that he wasn't going to do a lot of moving around before the Canelo fight and he boxed and used good footwork in that fight also. He told the media before the Maidana fight on numerous occasions that he was going to be in front of Maidana and he wasn't going to do a lot of moving around. Once again he kept his promise. So there is more factual proof to support Mayweather's claim that he is choosing to fight with less movement, when he says that he is choosing to, than there is to support the notion that he is lying when he says that and that his legs are indeed shot. Sergio Martinez's legs were shot. Fernando Guerrero's legs are shot. This is just wishful thinking as always from Freddie Roach when it comes to Mayweather. Roach is funny with all of the tough talk but then claiming that Mayweather will make some sort of excuse not to fight Cotto when he knows that Cotto is a Top Rank fighter and that Floyd already dominated Cotto when he was a free agent. All of Freddie Roach's trash talk in the world can't change those facts. Hahaha
      cool post. the truth.

Mayweather didn't dominate Cotto. He pulled away late, but at times, Cotto was out-boxing him, and marked up Mayweather's face pretty bad. That was also when Cotto was declared a shot fighter. We saw a completely different Cotto with Roach in the corner. If Mayweather doesn't slip in some bull**** about a 152 pound catch weight, Cotto can give him real trouble.

The whole "I'm here to give the fans what they wanted" is old man speech for, "I can't use my legs like I used to anymore." The fact you *****s regurgitate it is proof of just how little you know, and how rarely you think for yourselves.

Maidana won 5 of the 12 rounds, not 3. That said, in the little time he did spend winning, he definitely did more damage to Floyd than Floyd did to him. Sure, Floyd plays the round game like a master to come ahead on the score cards, but he's often times not out-boxing, or doing more damage to his opponents anymore.
