The Trinidad thing sucks for me because i want to be happy for him but the hand wrap thing is always in the back of my mind. His power was completely absent against Hopkins.

The hand wrap controversy was blown way out of proportion. The hands were re wrapped because of allegations of two layers of tape as oppossed to one. This is legal in other states but not NY. The wraps were not loaded. Tito's father was his trainer and the commissioner had him re wrap Titos hands in the exact way that Sister ****m Richardson demanded they be re wrapped. They were re wrapped in a way that he had never wrapped before. Unfortunately, Tito was trained by his father who was not a very good trainer and he allowed himself to be bullied by Sister ****m and the commissioner because he should've demanded that Bhops hands be re wrapped in the exact same way that Tito's were and during the fight he should've launched a huge protest about the 28 head butts BHop landed on Tito as well as the other fouls he was allowed to get away with.

There was never a legitimate accussation that Tito had loaded gloves or illegal wraps. The allegation were that they weren't wrapped properly. There were no accusations of cheating.

Tito and Oscar came along when this sport needed a lift and fighters to look up to, they were two guys that provided that. Along with Joe Calzaghe, they are very deserving to be in Boxing Hall of Fame.

Obviously you don't know the real story,first : those days were immediately after TWIN TOWERS TRAGEDY and USA needed a great victory that night,second : they made rewrap TITO's hands in a way his father said in all his life never put handwraps in that way over the hands of a boxer,they completely made rewrap TITO's hands in horrible way just to make his power disappear..WATCH THE PHOTOS OF HIS HANDS AFTER THE FIGHT,the handwraps were all around wrists instead over the knuckels...ridicolous;obviously you are not a boxer to have made a post like that only to repeat words of other persons instead let work your brain. They tried the same with ALEXIS vs COSTELLO but they failed because ALEXIS' trainer was more carefull of what was happening and ALEXIS destroyed easy BILLY!

bottom line tito had illegal handwraps and that cant be denied!! its a fact!!

Man i'm glad you're happy and i dont want to take that away from you, but it's not that Joe never ducked anyone, Joe ducked EVERYONE!

He deserves his place there but nowhere near top 20 ATG.
Just my opinion.

Joe Calzaghe didn't duck anyone, IMO. They would just have to come to Europe to do it because he was wary of the judges in America as wella s flying. Looking at the way his fight against Bernard Hopkins was scored, he was correct to be wary of the scoring because Joe Calzaghe clearly won the fight and Adelade Byrd tried to steal it from with 114-113 for Bernard Hopkins.

Thats not what happenned.

Titos hands were wrapped the way they wrapped them when they fought in other states where it was legal. The descreprancy was literally a layer of tape. The argument was that Sister ****m wanted to re wrap Tito's hands himself which is ridiculous and Tito's father wasn't allowing that. Unfortrunatly Tito's father allowed Sister ****m and the commisioner to bully him in to wraping Tito's hands the exact way Sister Nasim wanted them to be wrapped which was awful.

Most fighters powers are absent against Hopkins, he takes away their best punch. Pascal was the only one who has really been able to hurt Hopkins in the last 20 years after Mercado hurt him in '94.

He's fought big puncher's like Jones(160 version), Trinidad, Tarver, Pavlik, Eastman, Cloud, and very good puncher's like Taylor, Johnson, Joppy and none of them even stunned Hopkins from what I could remember.

Joe Calzaghe does not belong there

He belongs there because of his accomplishments. But he doesn't really belong in a top 80 ATG list due to his resume. HOF=yes, ATG=Not really.
