Let's show respect to great fighters

Why does this forum go into overdrive hate more every time a fighter loses, especially top fighters?

Cotto beat one of the best middleweights of the last 20 years. Yet that middleweight was severely injured but Cotto's victory is still impressive.

Let's give credit to both guys, Cotto for taking the challenge and Martinez for all he has done for the division.

I see this after so many major fights, Matthysse is a bum for losing to Garcia or Garcia got lucky, just give these guys credit.

    It's getting ridiculous here

It's not about hate. I guess you enjoy paying 65 dollars to watch a cripple get beat down. It's about misleading the boxing public and selling a fight that shouldnt of been.

Yeah I hear punches to the brain can do that to you. You're probably right considering the 4 knockdowns and 3 more stunned reactions to flush left hooks. Probably a concussion to his brain(as well as to his butthurt fanboys)

          LOL he probably is.

Personally I never pay for PPVs, British or American I don't care. If I want to pay for a one off fight, I'll go to the arena and watch it.

On the topic of Martinez's injury, no matter how much credit Cotto deserves and he deserves a lot, we all know Martinez was injured, 24/7 showed me that, which is why I posted in the fight thread that this would be a closer fight than I first thought.

but for Martinez's knees to be THAT bad, the fight should never h ave happened. It's like Leonard fighting with a torn calf. Or Ali with all his problems.

          But hey, this is boxing.

Agree credit to both guys ,I think the Sergio camp knew before hand that he wasn't 100% ,but that's what money does to you after out for 14 months you do have to pay some bills sooner or later.

How can a victory over someone who was Severely Injured be Impressive?

Nice, you just contradicted your own thread.

Step back down from that high horse, you are no better/different than any other poster here.
