After round 2, I gotta' admit Cotto looks sharp, but even I would look good against this version of Martinez.

Exactly. Martinez was a sitting duck for that left hook all night. How he was cleared to fight, I will never know. This is Yuri Foreman all over again for Cotto.Comment

After round 5, all I can say is that this fight is a complete joke. Cotto makes $7million for this? What a joke. And Max Kellerman's commentary is disgusting. At least Roy and Jim are somewhat objective, and don't speak although the audience is completely ******ed.
And lastly, shame on Sergio Martinez for even getting in the ring. He used to be one of my favorite fighters, but I've lost a ton of respect after seeing this.
This is almost as bad as Ali facing Holmes.
Martinez had to know he was shot, he just wanted to collect that final $2million payday. Good for him, bad for boxing.Comment

I'm not going to say Miguel Cotto deserves no credit for this win, but let's not act as if he is "the man" at MW right now. That is clearly GGG. And until beats him, Cotto's title is paper.
And I'll be the first to admit: I gave Cotto about a 10% chance of winning this fight. And I reserved that 10% in the event that Sergio came in shot. Which he did. Even in my wildest dreams though, I didn't think he'd come in looking *THIS* bad. He must have been getting his ass kicking in sparring during his camp.
Martinez looked at about 5% of his 2010 form, and that's no exaggeration.Comment
