Whom has Golovkin fought? A bunch of lower tier opponents, that's true.

But whom, at 160, has Cotto fought that's not a 39 yr old who was coming off major injuries?

I don't think you can assume either GGG or Cotto has advantage unless we're talking about size. Cotto is still unproven at MW.

Let's not get carried away with this Roach and Cotto duo. As far as I can see, Roach just brought back the old Cotto, that's all. It doesn't mean Cotto's chin turned into steel. It doesn't mean he's faster and stronger. My guess is Cotto-Golovkin will look like Cotto-Margarito 1 except it'd end earlier. Cotto might outbox GG for a few of the early rounds until he starts feeling the heat starting in rd 4 or 5.

Cotto has a shot - He has good defense, good power - but the key is he follows the game plan! GGG has fought no one to even prepare for a Cotto! He rather fight cats that he can just dominate! he has not been punched in the mouth yet, he has not put the heat on and his opponent stays there and fires back ! he has not been cut, wobbled, or knocked down to question his heart. He has not been through shyt, Blind people will follow anything ! His back up plan if the Chavez jr fight fell through was Geale??? what happened to the real fighters like - Lennox Lewis who was scheduled to fight Kirk Johnson, only to have Kirk Johnson fall out with like 3 weeks to go and get replaced by Vitali Klit, So Lewis goes from training for a 6'2 240 pounder to a 6'7 250 pounder, and people wonder why Lewis struggled in that fight.. But he fought him, GGG and his team are hurting his career, he better take charge and demand better opposition - yes Cotto does have a shot, but its up to Roach's game plan! Everyone that fights Cotto says he is not easy to hit, GGG has not fought the stiff comp for anyone to say that he would actually be able to land the homerun shot ..

I suspect Cotto would do well but he would need a catchweight at 156 or 157 to make it worth his while, Golovkin could do some serious damage to Cotto but the thing is Cotto is a very crafty fighter, smart and Roach is doing great work with Cotto.

He cares about his career again and that's dangerous for GGG. I want to see how Golovkin does against Geale first, because Geale I thought drew with Darren Barker and he's a tough fight, I wouldn't be completely shocked if Geale pulled out a close decision on GGG if he fights the right fight.

What do you expect Freddie to say? " Naw man, Golovkin would destroy my man Cotto".

Seriously people. Have some ****ing common sense.

I don't think Cotto has anything for Golovkin, I wouldn't even like to see him in that fight but I wouldn't rule out Cotto fighting him, he has cojones.

Cotto is about to blow up! He has more lucrative options NOW, than both Manny and Floyd. Cong**** to Cotto!
