I just hope he fights Canelo instead of Mayweather or Pacquiao. I don't think I could take either of those two claiming to be the lineal middleweight champ. Canelo has balls and might actually fight Golovkin if he won.

Though I recognize Alvarez's youth and power, Cotto has been given vigor at this stage of his career and remains far more experienced than him.
In addition Miguel seems to be more confident in his offensive ability and it showed against a larger foe in Martinez.
You have to acknowledge Angulo is a come forward fighter which aided Canelo in terms of styles and this Cotto does not wait around.

I think Canelo would win comfortably in a competitive fight.
Canelo vs GGG would become a big fight then, but let's not sleep on Lara.
