Comments Thread For: Hall-Butler Early Results: McKenzie Blasts ****inson

And the dream for a world title shot continues to live in Jamaica native Ovill McKenzie (23-12, 12 KOs), as he went on with his "Upsetter" monicker to knock out reigning BBBofC British cruiserweight champion Jon-Lewis ****inson (15-3, 4 KOs) in two rounds with his powerful shots to the head of the beltholder, who was making his fourth defense of the belt.

Chris Eubank jnr looked eye wateringly talented tonight. Shame Chris Snr's such a humorless twat.

I'm made up for Ovil! He always has a punchers chance. Did not expect him to win though.

Paul Butler needs to vacate and go back down to super fly. He doesnt punch hard enough. Hes got good skills but but no pop. Stuart hall was there to be hit all night.

Not really a "shock." It was two domestic-level fighters who may or may not be in the top 20 at bantamweight fighting for an alphabet belt. Either one beating Moreno or Yamanaka would be a "shock"

@ threadmaker, you do realize that Paul was a 1/3 favorite at the bookies? So how can this be a shock that he won a close fight on points against a granite chinned fighter who was never going to hit the deck by a blown up super flyweight? If Paul would have won by knockout in the first 6 rounds then would have been talking '' Shock''.

I think you are underestimating Hall's chin, that bald fella has a granite chin and did not get wobbled by McDonnell, Haskins or Malinga with one eye shut for the majority of the fight so with Butler coming up from superflyweight he was not going to bowl Hall over was he who clearly had a vastly superior weight advantage and is a massive bantamweight? Bit of a harsh criticism.
