I'd love to see Thurman fight someone in the top 10. Guy definitely deserves a shot at someone big.

Showboats a little with his speech but you can tell he's also very genuine, the type of guy that will keep boxing fresh and relevant when Manny and Floyd retire.

I never said he was a scrub. He's looked great up to this point. No question about it. But he's fighting the type of opposition that his team is ready to pay for. The top contenders aren't going to fight him for 90 to 100 grand. When he's ready there's no doubt in my mind Haymon will use all his resources and throw enough money so the top contenders can't duck him.

Maidana ducked him in 2012 to fight Soto Karass. He pulled out that fight because his team said Thurman is too big and punches too hard, nothing to do with money.

And Guerrero ducked him to fight some Japanese guy nobody's ever heard of. He obviously would've got far more money to fight Thurman.

I'm waiting for a response Pan? Because I see you spouting the same nonsense on every Thurman related thread.

I'd like to see what you have to say about Maidana ducking him because he punches too hard (nothing to do with money) and Guerrero ducking him to fight somebody for less money.

Can you admit that you were wrong or are you gonna live in denial?

Guerrero had his own promotional issues. And at the time when Thurman called out Maidana he was fighting at 154/152. And Maidana wasn't on Haymons team. It's 2014 Haymon has the WW division on lock. He will get fights once Haymon commits his resources. Haymon builds his stars a certain way. We've seen it with Gary Russell Jr, Berto, Broner, among others.

OF course he is right. If you think floyd is the best ever, then you are obviously a complete twat that knows sweet f.a about boxing.
