Is Carlos Takam someone we should start taking seriously??

I didn't see his fight against Tony Thompson but it seems like he won quite easy. Thompson is a tricky boxer and he just beat Solis a couple of months ago so if Takam did beat him convincingly he must've done a pretty good job.

He was a heavy underdog against Perez - a fight that did end in a draw but Takam was IMO the better boxer and won that fight.

Do you think Takam is ready to take on the best in the world....could he be a threat to the top guys??

I thought he beat Perez. I haven't saw the fight today, but a win over Tony Thompson is very nice as well.


I think he is someone who should be taken seriously in the division.

Takam has now beat 2 solid guys in a row. He clearly beat Perez. Not sure if that was partly due to the heavy load he was carrying after that last tragic fight but he lost to Takam.

He's definitely proven himself to be near the top of the division. I'd like to see him have a proper crossroads fight next against somebody like Arreola.

Takam basically outworked him the whole fight. Tony was still getting some counters in here or there, but he just flat out outworked Thompson.

I flipped a channel and saw Takam vs Perez and I had Takam winning 6-4. Great that he won against Thompson. Hopefully he can work his way up quickly and challenge Wilder or Stiverne for a shot at Wlad.
